Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 7, 2026
HAIC respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have — including specific rights for residents of the United States and Canada.
1. Who we are
“HAIC,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to HAIC Inc. and its affiliated entities operating the website at thehaic.com (the “Site”) and the related marketing, SEO, and AI-search-optimization services (the “Services”).
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@thehaic.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details — name, business email, company, website, country, and message content when you submit a form, book a call, or email us.
- Service inquiries — the services you're interested in and any context you share about your business.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Cookies & similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for details.
Information from third parties
- Analytics providers, advertising platforms, and CRM tools we use to run the Site and Services.
- Publicly available information about your business when relevant to a service engagement.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries, schedule calls, and provide proposals.
- Deliver, maintain, and improve our Services.
- Send transactional and, where permitted, marketing communications (you can opt out at any time).
- Measure and improve Site performance and content.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models. AI-search visibility work we perform on behalf of clients uses publicly available information about the client's own brand and content.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where required by law, we process personal information based on: performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in operating and marketing the Services; your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery (Resend), analytics, CRM, scheduling, and similar vendors acting under contract on our behalf.
- Professional advisors — auditors, lawyers, and accountants, when needed.
- Legal & safety — to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, or protect rights, property, and safety.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality.
6. International transfers
HAIC operates in the United States, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. Your information may be processed in any of these jurisdictions and by service providers in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Inquiry records are typically retained for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
8. Your rights — United States
Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know or access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of personal information.
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising. HAIC does not sell personal information.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (HAIC does not use sensitive personal information for any purpose requiring this right).
- Be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
California residents may also designate an authorized agent. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@thehaic.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law (typically 45 days, extendable as permitted).
“Do Not Sell or Share”: HAIC does not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor recognized opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) where applicable.
9. Your rights — Canada (PIPEDA & provincial laws)
If you are located in Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws (including Quebec's Law 25, Alberta's PIPA, and British Columbia's PIPA) give you the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and request correction of inaccuracies.
- Withdraw consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
- Receive information about our use of automated decision-making, if any (HAIC does not make decisions about individuals using solely automated processing).
- Make a complaint to our Privacy Officer or the applicable regulator, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@thehaic.com. For Quebec residents, requests under Law 25 can be addressed to the same email.
10. Children's privacy
The Site and Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
